Clinical Technologist (Computing)
James Cook University Hospital | March 2014 - Present
As an IT Professional (SFIA LEVEL 5) in the role of Band 6 Clinical Technologist inside the Medical Physics Department, I am tasked with leading several projects and the management of the Critical Medical Physics & Radiotherapy IT infrastructure, ensuring that the IT Service meets the demands of the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department. ICT Services Officer (Infrastructure)
Cleveland Fire Brigade | Nov 2012 - Mar 2014
In this role as a 3rd line ICT Officer (Infrastructure), I worked inside a small team to manage the ICT infrastructure including the emergency mobilising system and the critical communications network. This was a high pressure and demanding role which required great commitment to quality and service.
I participated in the callout rota as a Duty ICT Services Officer, providing out of office hours support to the Fire Control Room for the critical systems, critical infrastructure and the Incident Command Unit. This involved troubleshooting, implementing contingencies until the situation is resolved, problem diagnosis, initiation of the ICT Business Continuity Plan and providing workarounds until a permanent fix can be found within office hours.
St Patrick's Catholic College | Aug 2011 - Nov 2012
After a good impression, I was re-hired by my previous university placement employer after completing my degree, at the start of their new academic term.
I built upon the previous skills I acquired and gained greater responsibilities for the IT systems and infrastructure.
